Kathrin Yvonne Bigler wurde 1980 in Bern geboren. Als Regisseurin arbeitet sie in den Bereichen Performance, Installation, freie Improvisation und Tanztheater. In den letzten 10 Jahren hat sie in Liverpool und London gelebt - seit 2011 in London und Bern. Sie ist künstlerische Co-Leiterin der international tätigen Performance-Gruppe Bottlefed (www.bottlefed.org). 


 

Bottlefed's Performances haben u.a. den Jurypreis der Sophiensaele gewonnen ('Hold Me Until You Break' - 100Grad Berlin, März 2010), wurden für den Total Theatre Award 'Best Performance as an Ensemble' ('Return to Reason' - Edinburgh Fringe 2007) und für 'Beste Regie' ('Camille' - Lost Theatre Festival London 2006) nominiert.



 

Kathrin arbeitet regelmässig als Tanzdramaturgin (Schweden, England) und schreibt Drehbücher in Zusammenarbeit mit der Berner Filmproduktionsfirma Lomotion.



 

Als Theaterpädagogin arbeitet Kathrin mit allen Altersgruppen und in Theaterhäusern, Universitäten, Gefängnissen, Schulen und Psychiatrien. Seit August 2010 arbeitet sie als freischaffende Theaterpädagogin am Schlachthaus Theater Bern.

 

Für die Jahreskonferenz 2011 der Dramaturgischen Gesellschaft am Theater Freiburg
ist sie Referentin für
Celebrate diversity: Audience Development/Outreach in multikulturellen Theaterlandschaften.
